Nata Pura

Origin

Three hundred years ago the monks of a monastery near Lisbon in Portugal created this little pastry called pastel de nata. These recipes were then passed from generation to generation and have since integrated in the Portuguese cuisine. The pastel de nata was the most successful one becoming the Portuguese pastry icon. Nowadays, it's the most recognisable Portuguese food staple and the hottest pastry in Europe and around the world.

Trendy

Portugal's popularity as a tourist destination boosted the nata awareness originating an unprecedented demand! It's impossible to visit Portugal and miss the natas. A treat to enjoy as a snack or dessert. The most appreciated combo it's with coffee and it's common to spread cinnamon on top!
